 Who are the Elders?

In a sentence – We oversee the care and direction of the entire church and work to serve the needs of God’s people.

More Specifically,

Our work is guided by the Scriptures (see Acts 11, 15, 20; I Timothy 5; Titus 1; and I Peter 5). We are committed to the ministries of prayer, teaching God’s word, nurturing spiritual growth in our congregation, assisting the pastors in defining and carrying out the church’s purpose, vision, and mission, and ensuring that the finances of the church are utilized to further our mission “to be disciples who make disciples.” We guard the doctrine of the church and give general oversight to teaching and biblical equipping.  Finally, we ensure the continuing cultivation and development of the pastoral staff. 

As the elder board of FBC, we want to extend to you a warm welcome. We hope you will join us in person or online for fellowship, worship, and teaching.  We look forward to meeting you personally, and helping you in any way possible to grow in your relationship with Jesus Christ.
